Granby Lake, the largest of the three lakes in this Colorado River headwaters area provides fishing for rainbow, brown and lake trout. Granby is also known for the large population of kokanee salmon and the southeast bay is a popular spot for kokanee snagging when the season is open. Granby is the most popular of the three large Colorado headwater lakes. Ample camping and hiking trails around the lake and in the area provide plenty to do. Its close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park also provides a great day getaway if you want to venture into the park. Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the most popular destinations in Colorado with spectacular views and wilderness.
