Any Reports from Chatfield?

I am going to be fishing Chatfield on Thursday with the legend Johnny "Jed". I need to impress him with my fly fishing skills. Tell me how you have been fishing it.
Thanks,
Tim "Fishman" Emery

I was out with the LEGEND yesterday and he hooked a couple of fat trout, lost one at the boat. Both of them were caught on a silver kastmaster trolling no more than 5 feet, atleast that's my guesstimation, lol. I got the skunkola.

I was out from noon until 630 pm tonight. We caught one smallmouth and several trout. We were on a canoe. But we managed to catch the species we were after, then of course rainbows as the sun went down. Worms on a shaky head, and trout spoons, were the bait of choice. Wished we could have found some eyes.

A freind of mine is also going out to Chatfield on Thursday and asked me the same question.

I told him to spend some time at the roadbed / bridge and check out the deep and shallow areas and vertical jig with spoons.

I caught some really nice Smallmouths doing this last November.
