Flaming Gorge next Summer

HI Guys
Not a Colorado question but wanted to ask anyway.
Considering taking the family on a trip next summer. Camping fishing and Boating. Only my son Aaron and I are into fishing, so we were wondering if the Gorge would also be good for the rest of the family that are not into fishing.
Things like campground suggestions, that have trails for hiking / biking, shade so they're not just out there cooking during the day.
We're also thinking about a house boat rental.
Any feedback is appreciated
Thanks
Dan

Do it! It will most likely become an annual family excursion. Get a spot at Coyote Ridge but reserve it soon. Don't know about houseboat rental...

You won't find much shade on the Wyoming side of the Gorge. Utah has more trees. Lucerne Campgroud/marina has rental boats and shade. It's right on the Utah/WY border, close to Manila, UT. There are campgrounds near the dam in Utah that are very nice. Try this link for more info:
