Well, to make a long story short, I was fishing for bass (LM) in a small pond near my parents house, using a 3 inch silver minnow, and caught a bluegill that was about a foot in length. Unhooked him and tossed him back, and only later did I realize just how big a 12" bluegill is... And I didn't even bother to take a picture.. I'm heading back tonight, because I want a picture of this fish!!

As I look at pictures, are redear sunfish stocked in Colorado? It looks a little closer to what I caught than a standard bluegill.

A pond with a 12" bluegill! That's fantastic! Keep that pond a secret cause if word got out, that pond might get fished out! As much as I want to know where it's at, a something that'll produce a 12" bluegill has to have other monsters living in there too!

Hope you get a picture! Would love to see a 12" bluegill. Biggest I've seen or caught has been 5" lol
