boyd bluegill and crappie

me and my brother fished boyd for a few hours turned out to be a good choice we easily released 50 bluegill some decent crappie and small bass i was just tossing a 2 green twister and a bobber with an ice jig tipped with a wax worm

The panfish at Boyd are awesome guys to catch. Most are smaller, but they all think they are sharks. A few of them are good sized fish, it's a matter of getting through the others. Glad you had a good time.

NIce fish king! We were trying to sniff out some crappie with jigs on the north end last weekend, but just came up with little perch.

i got mine from bills live bait and i also got some from richard at budget tackle up in granby you can find them at any pet store

You can get your waxworms at pet stores also. Just give them a call before you head over, but most of the bigger chains (petsmart, petco) will have an assortment of grubs and worms you can purchase.

Great Fish! Sounds like a great time. Actually it made me really start thinking about panfish throught the ice this year! I heard it is going to be a very cold one so we should have a lot of time to target these crappies and perch through the ice this year!
