my brother in law and i just retured from two days at sanchez..............awesome fishing again!!!!!!! over 40 pike caught in all and around 10 that were 28'+. Biggest was 33" and about 9 lbs. All fish were caught casting the island shorelines with perch colored spoons, rapalas, and rebel crawfish. Lost two fish the entire trip, one being around 35 inches and was lost when he leeped into the air 25 feet from the boat. The other fish was never seen and hooked at around 10pm by the dam off the shore. I think it was a BIG pike or a ???????? i was jigging a 1oz spoon in about 30 feet of water. Had him on for about 40 seconds, then off he came (no line break). Also caught 2 BIG perch. around 14" and 1lb. The only other guy in a boat caught a 6lb brown trout, two nice walleyes, and many perch. He also caught a catty while trolling. He did real nice as well.

Heres some pics of yesterday (Sat.) Since I only have 3 pics I will post them here ifr you dont mind. The second one inhaled a spoon and got fillet knifed up. It was the biggest of 20 or so. 5+ lbs.
Did you guys try the flats off the south side of island?
Did you troll any? .or just cast
Where was the brown caught? We couldn't find any other than one small one right by the boatramp.,he got off. Sorry for the questions, I like this lake.

Great job! I have to get down there soon. Looks like you guys had awesome weather. There aren't many windless days at Sanchez! If you dont mind me asking, where was the most productive spot?
