Piled four of us into the Invader for some windy birthday fishing. First time I have ever fished from a boat on Horseshoe. NOW I know where the obstructions are!!!! Couple of scary moments but all is good. Couldn’t keep the stocker sized rainbows off the hooks. Also caught a small mouth while trolling (a first for me). Kept 12 for a cook out or two. Put back probably twice that many. Cowbells w/ crawler harnesses, rapalas, spoons, and every other concoction we could come up with produced fish.

Thanks guys.....Martin was looking pretty low....but it was stocked the day before so there were people ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL over by the inlet filling up. I did see one boat on Martin as well.....Now I didn't hear the whole story so prob check the website or call Lathrop itself. The two boat inspection guys were visiting while I was on my way out....They are gonna mess with the levels of the lake(s)....if I had to guess i think they are gonna try and fill up Martin quickly.....not sure what that will exactally do to Horseshoe.....like I said I didnt hear the whole conversation though.

Horsehoe is open to the public, not a private lake. (thank goodness)
