         Part of my duties working with fish explorer is not only to share articles and personal experiences but also to post the occassional blog. It has been a "few" weeks since my last entry and several people have pointed out that fact, thank you for pointing it out! I've been fishing so I believe I have a good excuse! When faced with a choice of writing about fishing or actually doing it, its kind of a no brainer, I'm going fishing and theres no better time or reason to go than its springtime in the Rockies! Over the past two weeks I have been on the water at least eight of those days and despite the unsettled weather found the warm-water fly fishing to be getting better every day! Last week alone I took a 12lb wiper, a 26lb carp, a 31lb carp, a couple of 5lb largemouth, a 3.5lb smallie, 1 undersized walleye and three follows from tiger muskies (yes, I still count follows from tigers)! My point here is this, no matter what you like to fish for and no matter whether you fly fish or toss conventional gear it is a great time to get out there and fish. There are not to many better places with more options to do it than Colorado! It is indeed time to shut up and fish!
