How-to Customize Your Bass Jigs - VIDEO
Guest Blog by: Tyler Brinks 8/6/2012
I often get asked questions about how to customize certain baits and what I do to make them ready to fish. I did a quick demonstration of a few things I do to customize my jigs.  Doing this will change the action, improve hookups and catch more fish.

Bass fishing is more than just a hobby for me, it's my life. I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and lived in Washington State for a few years but now find myself in South Florida. My favorite lakes are Lake Okeechobee, Lake Istokpoga and the Kissimmee Chain. I spend my time fishing as many tournaments as possible. When not competing in tournaments, I fish for fun, as well as writing and blogging about bass fishing.

Please check out Matt Allen on YouTube channel tacticalbassin for his jig customizing tips. He has a few great tips on using thinning shears to trim his skirts.
