Adding new articles to Fish Explorer has always been a pleasure of mine, especially when theyíre well written. In those situations thereís little to do other than format it for the site using the tools Mattís provided for me. The fun part is I get first read, a privilege I relish.
Today I activated a new piece by Lloyd Tackitt, our Texas State Editor. Since Lloyd became a state editor, heís been challenging my perceptions as to what good writing is. His frequent blogging has set the bar high, not only in frequency, but in quality. But not content to stop there his article contributions have challenged my notions of what an article should be. His first, Fly Fishing the Brazos, is a story within a story, a writing technique Iíve yet to attempt.
Lloydís second article was just posted, Spring Bass Fishing Techniques That Work, is actually an interview with Dave Mauldin, one of our outstanding tournament bass anglers and a Texas Field Editor. Again, Lloyd has challenged my view of what an article should be, and Iím glad he has, as Iím sure you will be also.
So if you like chasing largemouth, as I know many of you do, thereís no doubt in my mind you will enjoy this latest addition to Fish Explorerís fine collection of articles. It accomplishes several things, itís entertaining, itís a refreshingly different approach to articles for us, it showcases one of our outstanding field editors, and most importantly, is gives excellent information on spring bass fishing techniques. Enjoy.
