Ruedi releases going up
7/4/2012

Flows in the Colorado River continue to drop due to hot and dry conditions. This
week, it is anticipated they will drop below the target levels set for the four
endangered fish of the Colorado River. As a result, the US Fish and Wildlife Service
has called for increased releases from Ruedi Reservoir.

Around 5 p.m. today, July 3, we will increase releases from Ruedi by 50 cfs. The
resulting flow by the Ruedi gage below the dam should be about 195 cfs.

The 195 cfs release will continue through Independence Day and likely through the
weekend.

Have a great 4th of July!
