Kids Gone Fishing

A fun way to for kids 5 to 15 to learn how to fish. Kids will go through stations to learn about casting, baiting a hook, fish handling, and more and then get to practice their new skills. This is a great opportunity for kids who have never fished or who want to learn more about fishing. The program runs 9 a.m. to noon and dates are:

June 16 at Carolyn Holmberg Preserve at Rock Creek Farm
July 21 at Pella Crossing
August 18 at Cattail Pond at Fairgrounds
September 15 at Lagerman Reservoir

Colorado Fishing License required for all persons 16 years of age or older
Live bait, except live minnows, permitted
Shore fishing only
Check-in required at parking lot area off Boston Avenue

Junior and Senior Fishing Derby
October 13, 2012 at Wally Toevs Pond (Walden Ponds)
