CPW press release
LITTLETON, Colo. – Chatfield State Park will open the swim beach for the summer season on Friday, May 25. With new hours of operation this year, the swim beach will be open from sunrise to sunset, through the Labor Day weekend. The chain link boundary fence has been removed to promote easy access to the area and the restrooms, picnic tables and vending machines are now outside of the designated swim beach area. Visitors are reminded that glass, pets, fires, grills and fishing are not permitted within the designated swim beach area.

Please keep in mind that there are no life guards on duty and all children twelve years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All vehicles entering the park must have a valid parks pass, but there is no additional charge to use the swim beach.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife was created by the merger of Colorado State Parks and the Colorado Division of Wildlife, two nationally recognized leaders in conservation, outdoor recreation and wildlife management.
