Getting there: Take Hwy 93 north from Golden to Hwy 72. Turn left (west) on Hwy 72 toward Pinecliffe to County Road 85. Follow County Road 85, which turns into western Gross Dam Road. It will take you to both the north and south access points. To reach the dam from Boulder, take Flagstaff Road west until it turns into eastern Gross Dam Road.
Fees: No fee
Boating: Non Motorized Hand-Launch. Boats must be single-hull construction, hand-propelled, and less than 18 feet long.

Special Regulations: Open one half hour before sunrise and a half hour after sunset. No body contact with the water allowed. No wading.

Gross Reservoir Stocking 2010 to 2012
Campgrounds
Camping available along the west shore in the national forest area. No developed campground. Access to the National Forest Area is closed at this time. It is expected to reopen by Mid August 2011
 
Boat Ramps
Gross Reservoir
Hand launch unimproved ramp. No trailered craft allowed. Open only from Memorial Day through end of September. All boats subject to inspection.
