Big Creek Lake campgrounds are terrific, with nice separation form neighbors, with access to plenty of activities. About half the sites are reservable. If you're going to visit on the weekend, come early or reserve your site online. If you want to reserve a site, you'll often have to do so months in advance. There are some non-developed tent areas accessible by boat or a rough hike, but are well worth it.

Some sites will be closed in 2010. Big Creek Lake campgrounds are terrific, with nice separation form neighbors, with access to plenty of activities. About half the sites are reservable. There are some non-developed tent areas accessible by boat or a rough hike, but are well worth it. The North East campgrounds are imediately to your left as you reach the fork at the lake on the road in. A loop will take you around the sites. Trailer and extra vehicle parking is close to these sites. Many sites have a slight view of the lake. All are within a short walking distance of shoreline. We have had no problems navigating our boat trailer around these sites, although you may have trouble parking your trailer at some sites. A few of the sites have very adequate room for your trailer. Water is available, but untreated. Restrooms are outhouses.

These are located right near the north boat ramp. Water is available, but untreated. Restrooms are outhouses.
