I finally got up this way for some fresh air and did some photography along the way. By the time I arrived to fish Roadie, it was midday and the clouds were gathering for some serious rain and snow up higher. The fish knew it, and the bite was really on for 40 minutes. All nice 12 to 15 inchers, including some brookies. I used a beadhead Red-tailed Black Wooly Bugger, my own design, and it was killer. Folks nearby limited out on powerbait so action was good however you wish to fish. Get out and enjoy this lake before the elk season draws us into the mountains.
