Lake: Boedecker Reservoir

Bodecker filling. Less than favorable ice.

Submitted a update, but want everyone to have access to the info:

The lake is filling causing lots of areas where water is bubbling up through cracks giving you that uneasy feel on the ice. Still a solid and clear 6" of ice with 2"+ of water/slush on top. Some areas would be advisable to stay off with the flow of water causing unstable ice areas. Made it about 100 yards off the boat ramp before heading elsewhere. Once the inflow stops the cold temps should create some thick ice but will yield two layers. I would recommend going elsewhere.

The bumpy spot in the picture is water flow through a crack. Drilled as close to it as I cared to get and still had 6" of clear ice. Proceed at your own risk. Spots like that everywhere.

Catch any fish? Went there once right after ice off and got skunked. Can you ice white bass?

Same thing on Lon Hagler yesterday, I thought they were springs coming through the ice.
