just wondering if anyone catches them from shore and what area of the lake that you catch them at any tips will help the rig i usually use is a sliding egg weight with the leader line and for bait i use cut chubs or liver is there other rigs that will work better.

I don't have any personal experience, but based on what I know, you can catch just about anything anywhere so long as it's in the water. I'm sure others will have some advice, but I say just get out there and give it a shot. Don't forget to submit a conditions report when you get back too.

I caught five last year in two dsys. Just have to be in the right place at the right time when theyre feeding. As for what to use your best bet is rapalas but or swim shad, but they'll hit anything when there is a feeding frenzy.

look for the side of the lake that the wind consistently blows towards to, look for the deep drops that extend to shallow water, right now with the hot summer air they are deeper, but as the cooler night temps drop they move shallow and chase whatever they can eat!
