travis, two questions:

1) Is that a bear in the middle photo?
2) Curious what you'll do with that white sucker.

Most of them were caught with micro jigs (including the sucker) and the rest on a little tube jig.

I was there Tuesday, I am sure I saw you Travis, cuz you said you'd be there every day. There were only three other people on the north side, and two of em were fishing the open water, but with very little action, they said.

Ice by first outhouse was 13" thick, with the top two inches being rotten. Further out, ice was 15" thick. Surface was smooth and nicely textured from melt and thaw cycles. Many holes were barely iced over from the previous days fishing, and no auger was needed.

Open water at Antero: about 30 feet by 600 feet of open water, still very shallow, gravel bottom. Looks like the spawners should be in there, but they haven't been on my last two trips...maybe soon? When the lake was full, I had great action in the south ramp area, but the lower water level has made that area a murky mess for me.

How much open water? Will it be worth bringing the kick boat next weekend?

Nice bunch of fish. I'm glad you got them before they became gull food.
