So I have been reading some of the past forum post and I am wondering if there are actually decent numbers of pike in this lake. Everywhere I have ever ran into pike I have found that they are numerous unless they dont have a good forage base. It sounds like they should have it here so I am a little confused. Is there not much spawning areas for them? To many people keeping them? Any insight would be great. I have been looking for a public lake for pike now for 10+yrs and thought I might have found one here.
Thanks for the insight. Was going to post a report today but didnt want to battle the wind. Gonna try it again tomorrow any advise for tomorrow will also be appreciated

I too am looking for a good semi local Pike lake that will produce. I'm strictly a C&R guy. I'll be looking for what you find Jim. I'm thinking of making the drive up on Saturday to see what I can catch
I have been hunting pike all over the state and the only places that seem decent are Williams fork and stagecoach after those 2 I would recommend 11 mile but they are all about 3.5 hours from me so I dont get a chance to fish them often.
I would think that wellington 4 would have a better population of pike if they are in there bc of the vegetation and forage seem better than smith.
If you find a good lake in the FC area please pass along the info you can PM me at firstname.lastname@example.org
