Another Nice Chatty Eye
Post By: dmccull2000      Posted: 10/16/2012 12:38:33 AM     Points: 258
After seeing all nice Chatty eyes lately, it had had me motivated to go after one myself. Here is one I caught tonight. 10.6 Pounds, approximately 30 inches.

You look nicely prepared to catch and release a fish of that nature. Props to you!
Definitely jealous of that behemoth. I need something half that size to be happy!

With this crash in the Barometer last couple days would think you would get into more than one. Did you get into numbers as well ?

Dave you are always highly motivated, and your effort pays off big time. Your success hunting big walleye on the Toon is undoubtably working very well!! Congrats on another nice eye!! You are the man!! talk to you later today. Hopefully this catch will ease the pain of losing "that other one", the night before.

IFF, Over the last week, I would say the bite has been great. I have been getting into some good numbers with several keepers. The night before last, I hooked into a nice one. Honestly I think it was larger than this one. It was like dragging up a stump. It was sitting in top of the water coming in and seeing the wake of dragging it towards me got me excited once it got within ten yards and my light hit it, it thrashed and broke my 12 pound leader. It made for a disappointing and sleepless night. Had to get out the next day to try and make up for the bad night. Glad I did! I would definitely agree the fall bite is full swing.

Sleazy E, I should of taken a picture near all of my gear, lol. I probably am too prepared. I carry a crap load of stuff. That is probably the biggest reason I started pontooning for these big boys... I got tired of carrying 50 pounds of gear.

Thanks James, it does ease some of the pain, but you know how it is... The monster is still lurking! I think I am more motivated! I will call you shortly.

What a great fish! Happy for you Dave! I talked to Jessie and I think we might go out to Chatty very soon. Thinking about heading out there tomorrow 10/18 morning and night. I got a seal on my boat so I might hit it really early and then again at about 6-9pm. Let me know if you would like to join.
