I've been out there a lot.... of course, but I haven't tried to catch any perch lately. However, I can tell you that the perch population in Lake Loveland is doing just fine. I don't know if they are worth going after without a boat right now but, then again, if you're in the right place at the right time you could be very successful. It's hard telling not knowing lol.
Branch-Thanks for the info. Congrats on the cats. I never made to Loveland to try for perch but I did fish it one evening for bass/walleye. You're right. Doesn't really seem worth fishing without a boat. My lures were constantly dragging the bottom.
Sleazy- true powerbait is all I ever use. Done caught me bout every fish under da sun on that dag gum stuff. Trouts, basses, perches, pikes, you name it son and I''ve caughten it by golly
