Ok, I gotta ask. Has anyone ever tried one of these? Looks like fun.

Yes, and they work.

A gentlemen caught a pretty big channel cat at Brush Hollow some years ago using this method. It allowed him to drop his bait in the middle of the reservoir from shore.

I built my own. Pretty BA. Never hooked a line to it though.

That's one 'High tech Redneck' version of jugging right there!!!

What happens if the fish is more powerful than your RC Boat?? Great problem to have, but could be interesting!

Ajax,
Then it's either JAWS or The BEAST. LOL

Lew,
I dare you to run that thing in Canada. My money would be on the muskellunge that takes out your boat!! JK

It's interesting to think of. However, I can see it just being fun to "drive" around.

Just saw the shop stool under the boat for size reference, didn't notice it at first glance as Lew needs a few more lights in his garage haha.

Yea, if a fish wins the battle with that thing, you got a trophy on your hands!

I bought one years ago to use at Aurora never did though becuase Aurora res has a no model boat policy for thier lakes. Kinda silly you cannot use a electric model boat on Atown.when it is electric only lake..
Gave it away two days ago.

Look up "Baits boats" on You tube They use them in the UK for carpin and cattin
They use them as dump trucks to dump bait and drop the hooks right on the bait they unloaded. They have shore to boat Fishfinders and I have even seen them with wireless cameras to watch thier bait and to find a locations without weeds to dump the bait.

Lews boat is the right size for something like that.

Until a giant Wels catfish instantly breaches the water and takes a mouthful of boat, bait and camera (cool footage if it can be retrieved)!!!
LOL, Bwahahahaha

The model I saw can be used to troll with, or you can hook your line to it, drive it out up to 400 feet, and drop your bait in the desired position. If nothing else, its worth a few laughs!

I built a hydroplane ( Pay N Pak) a few years back and used it on a private pond. I towed a mepps spinner behind it just for fun and as luck would or would not have it in this case a trout grabbed it and yanked it around just enough to pull it under and stall it out. Here it was stalled out in the middle of the pond so I grabbed my rod and tied a big sinker to it so I could cast out and retrieve it. Well the line fell short, the sinker hit the deck and put a hole through it. No fish. Ruined boat. Great laughs for awhile. Then reality set in.
