I was on the blue river today, watched a little criiter, swim dive and play in the river for some time, was about the size of a ferret, brown with a black tail, he was alone....Any ideas...

my dad saw two otters in allens park above pear lake, this looks like a muskrat to me but it could be similar to one of those otters.

I have been told it is a MINK.....

Not high enough for a MARMOT, and not a muskrat....

Looks like a mink. I think I saw one at Douglas yesterday and had to look it up myself.

First two are mink. third one maskrat. I think you saw a mink. Does not look like a pine marten or a muskrat. My money is on a mink

River Otter. Look how thick the tail is in the OP's post (especially at the base).

Not big enough for a river otter. Those things are like 15-20 pounds.

Mink ... saw one on the CO River a month ago.

I would say Mink. I saw a White Mink running the Big Thompson River early this year and it looked just like that but white.

There is definately a pair of beavers at CC. They wrecked a few trees back in June at the marina and I still see them swimming around ocasionally. They can be extremely destructive but have been behaving for the most part.

I'd say Loch Ness. I could be wrong...

2nd guess was muskrat.

FULL GROWN river otters may be 15-20 pounds...

But this is a kinda crappy picture, so it is hard to say. If it was "playing" in the river, I doubt it was a muskrat.
