Hey all,

Random question... Anyone ever fished Banner? I have been out the past few weekends for teal and another hunter swears up and down that there are BIG (40inch) pike in pond #5. Any truth to this? I know it can't be fished again until spring, but I would love to get into some pike come ice off.

Thanks
Bigguns

There were. Too many people not cnring. That and it is almost empty. Probably winterkill this year. Here's the average size. Also they never stock it unless they need a place to put fish from lake drainings. Please use cnr skills.

Thx lewdog

I may give it a try if it doesn't winterkill, but thats a slim chance.

I am a 99% CnR guy, especially for pike.

Come the end of February i think. You can ice fish for a few weeks. Thats fun if the ice is thick enough. Heres one i got this year, only two inches of ice.

That hunter wasn't lieing there were some nice ones there some overkeeping may have changed that. The water is low like lewdog said and ice time kill offs may be certain. Hopefully in spring there still some big ones left there are also few and far between nice largemouth in areas.
