I too have done this many times night fishing dams for walleye with jerkbaits. I prefer smithwicks over rapalas though =D

That's impressive, but how about casting out a trolling rod and not seeing the lure hit the water, but then hear line being taken out and look up to see a seagull doing barrel rolls in the air with your rapala in its beak!? --Not exactly the best day on the water but one of the most interesting! (bird was ..reeled in haha, and released without too much harm) in NY
