It's not as easy as one may think it is, to go out an land a large Channel cat. Or any large fish for that matter in CO.
Some get lucky, others have to work very hard at it, like me. I figure if my lines in the water I have a much better chance at it. And you have paid attention to what worked in the past and learned from your mistakes, you will catch a few.Over the weekend I was on the water 30 hrs it produced three cats and my sons large cat and two others with 2 more hook ups and couple of lookers at 3 locations. There is even more time spent getting everything ready and travel time. To me its worth it, that few minutes of excitement heart rate goes up quickly you get the fish to shore and then the release. LET'S DO That AGAIN and again.
The lawn looks like hell and the carpet needs vacuumed, I would rather be fishing.
One of the Cattin locations on Sunday was so tight. I did not even have room to measure the fish.
31 incher
33.5 at 23.3lbs
And my sons giant 34 plus inches
The friend ships made while waiting for that bite are well worth the time also.
