Second time I've had the boat out. Had a very nice day on the lake after getting the throttle fixed this morning.

Only caught one rainbow and one nice walleye (small, about 12", but pretty), missed a third one, didn't see what it was. The parks guys said I did better than most people these days. Seems all of COs lakes are hurting, at least down here in the flat area.

This is the lure that all three fish hit, I tried many but this one is what seemed to excite them. I got it from my dad's stuff after he died. Does anyone know what it is called?

By the way, the lake is full of algae. I trolled all over the lake many times and didn't find a clear place. Quite a bit of scum on the surface as well. The walleye was caught near the dam on the south end. The rainbow was caught near the floating docks at Pelican Point.

No sweat! It is a "high action" lure, and that is likely why you were successful with it this time of year.

High action is right, it shakes the snot out of my rod no matter how far out I have it. :)

It's called a thin fin hot n tot............my favorite lure for bass and good for walleye. I've caught very few trout on them ut i guess they could work.
