Headed out tomorrow

Headed out tomorrow morning, hoping for a good day. I don't have a boat right now, and haven't fished from the shore here. Any tips or location on where I could have a decent day?

Fished it for the first time sunday, but in a boat. I will give a heads up and say there isn't much shore line to fish except the dam. Most of the shore is completely marshy and/or cover with thick brush

As far as shore fishing goes.....I would try the northern or western face of the dam using kasties and /or crawler near the bottom with a floating jighead. Also, the northern shoreline of Marina bay west with a crawler or
a fathead minnow on the bottom with a slip sinker. A slip sinker rig with
some chartreuse pb should produce some rainbows for you. These tactics
should get you into some bows or smb, depending........

good luck!

First time anglers at Aurora Reservoir should always head to the dam if they want some kind of action from shore or where PBS said to go too.as you learn the lake your methods can change target eyes and SMB from shore is popular. I would inject a 1/2 worm with air and cast it as far as you can. Float it up from botton 6 inches to to as much as 6 ft if it was my first time there. Unless you know how to use jerk baits.
Anyway have a good time, good luck to you.

How early are you planning on being there? The marina would be a good spot with minnows at daybreak for wipers, but as soon as the sun becomes visible that goes away.
