Back over Independence Pass today in 4" of snow at the top, to the Frying Pan. I leave South Park in the Spring and in the fall to enjoy this great river.
Got on the water at 3:00pm and fished until 6:00, water flow is at 260+/- cfs which is a level I really like.
A little bright with only a few clouds but the fish definitely cooperated. I managed 30 to net in the 3 hours spent wading and had one rainbow, right at 20", a very respectable fish for this or any Western river. Back at them in the morning, hopefully some clouds will roll in as it always makes it better.

UPDATED,

Fished Tuesday a.m. and Wed. a.m. for a total of 11 hours stream time over three days. This river always treats me very well with just over 100 fish caught for the trip, one bow at 20" and most everything else, mostly browns were from 10-15", a great time on an amazing piece of water.
