The night time is the right time. The big dogs will be crusing close enough to cast to. Float a crawler connected to a sliding sinker with a four ft leader or if the wind is blowin right use half a crawler connectd to a slip bobber with the same leader length. Hope this helps out 4 now GP

We have families to feed, Don't worry we release plenty of 3lb fish for u flat landers to catch. My goal is the lake record 13 lbs

Great fish. As for the pure C&R guys, we pay our money, we abide by limits and restrictions, CDOW doesnt do their math with 100% C&R in mind. Instead of targeting those who practice selective harvest, how about you take aim at the scmucks who are trashing these beautiful waters, and the ones who are taking buckets of stocker slimers out. Theyre the ones ruining your fishing experience with jars of powerbait and cigarette butts littering the shoreline. Next time you're out, inform the dummies and see how much of their mess you can get them to pack out.

Ice fishing I've had one come in that I thought was a pike until I struck him and rolled him sideways and saw the sides... Holy Bow!
Anyway, that was right before I got spooled and snapped off. But yeah, there are BIG trout in there.
