There was a boat on the rocks on the dam. Right by the tower. Looks like everybody made it off the boat okay. Not sure how it happened. I got skunked also.

I was out Saturday night till 2100, and again Sunday morning at 0400 till 0900 on the West side. Saw plenty of shad popping the surface, and the walleye doing their Orka imitation, jumping out of the water, about 40 yards from shore. ( They were mocking me as usual.) Got skunked, but didn't really expect to catch anything anyway, given the current conditions...
Saw some shore guys Sun morning using bait, but no luck for them either.

I fished Chatty from about 9am-3pm. Started trolling the center line west from the plum creek inlet and immediately got a few takers hitting kasties on the top. They didn't seem to be interested in live bait off the bottom. As soon as we got west of the north boat ramp near Massey Draw, no luck. We turned around and went East along the center line, and hit a few 'bows. After that we stayed on the east/northeast side of the lake near the centerline. We caught a dozen stocker rainbows, all female, and a smallmouth, all while trolling west, none while trolling east. Interesting. Only had to yell at the idiots coming too close in daddy's boat a couple of times, which is nice.

It's nice that the cooler weather keeps the rec idiots home.

I fished chatty sat night, and got skunked too. I was in the middle of a school of jumping shad around the mid south of the lake drifting with them most of the night, still no bites on rat-l-trap or worms jigged on the bottom. The fish jumping all over was a little out of the ordinary but I was hoping they would bring the bigguns closer... no such luck. I saw the emergency lights as well, but didn't know a boat was scuttled. Btw it was awesome to drop the maglight in the water on a rope and watch the shad swim around, it was almost like it was raining, but no rain!!! Fun night even for the skunk!!
