Lake: Lake John
Labor Day Weekend
Post By: bobgofishin      Posted: 9/3/2012 7:07:19 PM     Points: 50
Got to Lake John on Thursday and could not wait to unload the kayak, but the wife had ideas about setting up camp and the 5th wheel. Anyway, when I finally got on the water, the action was fast and lots of fun. The bows were hitting any spinner I had plus wollie buggers. Most were in the 10 to 12 in. class but a lot of fun on lite tackle. Released all but 6 in four days fishing. Had one monster trout that came out of the water and broke my 6 lb. line. Just wait until next year. The lake is almost full and gin clear. The serface temp early was 48 and by noon 65. A lot of people were taking advantage of the nice weather and the camping around the lake, but it was not too crowded.
