MA Bass at Carter Lake
Post By: Little D      Posted: 9/3/2012 6:13:56 PM     Points: 738
Okay, so I don't really know if its MA qualified as I didn't have a scale or tape measurer but either way it was a monster bass and my PB. Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure that's MA. Nice job!

That would qualify if you had measured it. Nice catch.

Thanks guys! Grabbed the wrong tackle box so I didn't have a chance to measure it but it was a beast! Oh and I guess i forgot to mention i let it go and its still swimming for someone else to catch!

I don't know much about the MA program. Is there no way that CPW can just look at the pic and give the award? I don't think that bass is even close to 18". It's fat, which might give the impression that it's longer than it is, but that thing looks like an easy 20" to me.

Very nice fish and kudos for the release

Mr. Pink, It was well over 20"... For a reference I'm 5'9 185 so I know i'm not that tall but i'm definitely not a small kid haha

NICE PIG!!

I know Little D...I was being conservative. But that's what I mean! Any reasonable person looking at that pic should know it's MA. I think you should get the credit for it. But what do I know!

FYI...I'm judging the size of the fish by the likely width of your left hand, not your height or weight. Definitely over 18". And fat as hell!

Nice color on that fish. Deffinately looks like a MA and a fatty to boot. Good job!

Mr. Pink sorry if I came off as being rude! Didn't mean to make it sound like that! Thanks again for the replies and it was for sure one awesome fish! Also I didn't really know any other way of giving a reference because I'm not use to catching fish of this quality and size!

What a beauty!! Nice on the C&R respect that...

I didn't take you as being rude in any way. That's the problem with electronic correspondence. Sometimes the tone or subtext can be lost or misunderstood. I was just (poorly) trying to explain how I estimated the length of the fish by the likely size of your hands.

Again, nice job, and there's no way that fish isn't MA.

Awesome color on that monster :) I think if you hold it right up next to your rod that can qualify you in a pic bc its a known reference of xyz rod from a to b but I'm not 100% sure. Regardless, beautiful catch and. PB is always cool :)

VERY NICE!! Congrats.
Kinda funny, this is the second time we have been at the same place on the same day. I fished carter on Monday as well, last time it was grand lake. Good job!

Very nice fish, congrats on what I'm sure was a darn fun catch! From boat or shore?

Fooking-Fish, it was caught from shore, pitching the docks
