'Fishing Beer' Poll
Post By: badcoyotee      Posted: 8/25/2012 1:45:55 AM     Points: 6
For those of us who like to drink beer in moderation while doing yard work or spending time on the lake I pose a question.

Which beer do you prefer?

Miller Light, but what does "moderation" mean?
Reply by: Coloradomrg      Posted: 8/25/2012 7:29:49 AM     Points: 1945
Blue moon, leinenkugel, fat tire, Alaskan amber... Nothing too fancy, but no 'budget' pee water here.

I've tasted over 300 beers... Many I didn't like, some that I did. Problem with liking the beers that I do is they are harder to find in 3.2!

#1 BUD LIGHT!! Support a local business,
Reply by: JKaboom      Posted: 8/25/2012 11:03:44 AM     Points: 922
6% Bud in can at lake - no glass container and difficult to be recognized as non-3.2 beer.

When not at the lake then CO microbrews although I've been on a redbber kick with Pabst with spicy Mr. T's bloody mary mix.

I prefer budlight in a can when doing anything out doors. Stays colder longer than the long neck bottles. As for just hanging out, I will drink almost anything made with hops and barley!!!

And I think "in moderation" means not getting wasted

I've had the weather turn or things get tricky out there too many times to think about a couple of beers when I'm fishing. I prefer to keep all my wits about me and all the fine motor control.

lol Coors is about as "local" as a BMW. Sure it might be brewed here (among several other breweries throughout the country) but don't think that profit money stays here, its European/Canadian owned, and has been for a loooong time. Same with Bud, Miller, and basically every other big name beer.

Interesting thread...interesting.

I'll stick to my home brews (

IPA in the summer and darker beer in the winter. Not really a specific brand - there are lots of good craft beer makers.
