Another hog for me at Quincy. This one went straight to the weeds. I thought I lost him until I started pulling weeds to free my line!!

beautiful fish! Do you fish a wacky rigged worm like a jig?

You have to excuse my amateur status- I have only been fishing Bass for a few months. I don't think I fish it like a jig. I use a 4" senko worm- green, no weight. I cast the worm near the weeds (or in the weeds) and then I let it drop slowly. If I don't get a bite within 15 or 20 seconds (I fish shallow water) then I will jerk the worm towards me a few feet, reel in the slack and wait again. I will do this a few times before casting again.

I am new to bassin this year as well. I have my best luck using 5" Senko's in black (lately) and watermelon w/ red flakes (earlier this year) fished the same way. I have had more luck wacky rigging them lately but earlier this year it was weightless texas rigged exclusively. Good stuff!!!
