She made me sell it!
Post By: Odie58      Posted: 8/11/2012 8:15:11 PM     Points: 5
Girl made me sell my boat & I am jonesing for a day on the water at Spinney for obvious reasons. I'll kick in for gas & buy lunch. I am located in Denver and make my own hours for work. Fly, spinning, or heavy rigs for gators im in. I pray there is sm1 less heartless the my girl and can put an end to my Spinney addiction!!!! Thanks for the consideration, tight lines!!

your first mistake was letting her tell you what to do . you should have sold HER and kept the boat man !!! :)

i hope you get to go fishing one more time in your life. when you let everyone know you sold your boat because a girlfriend told you to, they should be afraid to take you. what if she finds out they took you and goes nuts again. she could start harrassing them to sell their boat.

Your balls must have been checked at the door.

I have had my boat for 28 years, my wife for 10...check your girlfriends purse for your sack..you may need it sometime......if she made me choose from her or the boat, I would miss her very much, but still be fishing

LOL in my experience the ones that talk tuff are usually the most whipped. Happy wife is happy life! Luckily for me when I start to get grumpy my wife says "geez, you better go fishin"

If you can lower yourself to be on a little coleman crawdad with only a 30lb TM, I'd be happy to get out with you sometime. Hit me up goering1@hotmail.com. It does have nice comfy bass boat seats and last time I went we boated about a dozen trout-20" and several hammer handles even though I didn't target them much.

Oh and if you mind beer drinking, cussing/swearing and smoking on the boat it's not gonna work out.

Happy wife, happy life...

Good thing my wife thinks the same thing about happy husband! I spend enough on fishing and my boat to feed a small country every year, and she spends enough on clothes to do the same haha

What about happy husband happy life. Tired of hearing the other one. If I have to live by that one I don't need her.

I wear the pants in this house, believe it or not.

I do compromise though.

My wife fly fishes and spends just as much time in the water as I do. We both wear pants/waders in our house hold.

I just lost my rod, not my sac. But hey, I got it back so can play with them both now. Perhaps someone or even you will find yours. Mine was sticking straight up, out of the water, proud and free.

Went up last wknd from the belly n did good w/ mosquito pattern although no pike. Just a few short strikes n follows on a blk & chartreuse streamer. Good luck to you :) At least you had a boat for a time I hope to get one someday but then I need the truck/suv as well. Boating in CO gets dam expensive not like MI where it is just standard.

I have to agree with Jkaboom - at least you had a boat for a while. I am still land locked myself so I guess your new phrase should be "better to have owned and boated than to never have boated at all".

Couldnt agree more seeing as I have never owned a boat.

If Helen of Troy's face caused the launch of a thousand ships, perhaps Odie58's girl has looks that are so compelling that you'd do the same thing were you in his shoes.

Wonder if he'll post her pic.
