Bad Drought =(
Post By: Ch00Chee      Posted: 7/31/2012 12:13:03 AM     Points: 437
This year is the most depressing fishing year ever! I drove by Jim Baker and it was almost completely dried! I hear alot of state parks are going to be drained as well for the famers! It's so sad this year for Colorado fishing! I haven't got the chance to catch my first wiper of thr year either! All the local lakes are dead action as well! I wished this year we didn't have such a bad drought!

Your right..Its been a bad year as far as droughts go.But I'm using this years drought to some what of a learning year. With water level so low in some of these lakes its easy to spot brush and rock piles, drop offs, road beds etc.I write these areas down in my note book so when these lakes are full again I know where the structure is.This is something I do to keep a day of fishing fun in such bad times..

You have to think of the lake being half full instead of half dry....

Choo i don't know what your talking about. This drought has drained a few lakes down but i think it has made the fishing easier than normal. You can't blam this drought for your lack of fishing time. If you think the fishing is worse go to barr lake and troll anything and you will catch fish. No limits either.

One of the best fishing years that our group has had. No complaints here!

Lake is half full... half the places for them to hide...

I've only been out a few times. I've been so busy babysitting because my parents has been out helping family do eatings and stuff like that. It's finally a free month and hopefully I can get back out onto the waters!
