I took the family to Boyd last week. It was only the second trip of the year with the boat. Anyway, we were trolling on the north side of the lake, and to be honest, I was hoping for some white bass. Billy and I were talking about the limits for the lake and the amount of fish we could catch. He advised me, in a matter of fact voice, that he was going to catch a 21" walleye. At about that time one of the rods bent in half and he set the hook like a pro. I could tell he was shocked by the weight of the fish by the look on his face. After a couple head shakes and some grunting he reeled the fish in. Sure enough it measured 21". The rest of the day he beamed about his catch and I can't blame him. I'm glad I had the opportunity to share the experience with him.
