Anyone hit up the Doug recently? Was thinking about heading that way this afternoon but haven't been in a couple weeks. If it is anything like htooth it has dropped alot over the last 2 weeks. Thanks for any info in advance.

Doug Doug is so tough right now. I saw a few great walleye pulled out a week ago towards te south side in between two brush patches. Other than that I don't know what to tell ya. It's a tough lake to figure out right now and I fish it at least once a week

Thanks Colorado, I have had great days there and skunk days but that's fishing. I am still going to roll up there this afternoon with my bro. I will post the results and a new conditions report when I return to the fo Co.

Definitely post a conditions report, I've never been to Douglas and really want to go but dont want to waste the trip if it's super low.

I will definitely post a report. Douglas is a tricky lake but was producing alot of good stocked bows, some chunky smallies and I have seen some big walleye come out of there. Should be back tonight and a report will be following. Where are you coming to the Doug from ed?

Well guys, went out from 730am to 11 and not even a bite. It was hot and the water is low, low. You can still use the boat ramp but it is getting close to being to shallow as well. We just fished from shore and tried everything we had. Kastmasters, rooster tails, panther martins, crank baits, plastics and bubble and fly. Nothing on all of those, a couple follows by smallies on the plastic but that was it. No one but the cowboy on the dock was catching anything.he said he got a couple crapp ies on small jigs and that was it.hope this helps everyone and bring the bug spray, gfunk out.

I'm still a bit new to the lake but if the last few weeks has been tough fishing here I cant wait to see good fishing here. went out twice last week, first day pulled out 3 Bass between 11-13" and a good sized Crappie. Second Day Was a bit harder but still managed a good Bass and a very nice Crappie, both sessions were only 2-3 hours. Any hook ups I've had have come on spinner baits fished near the bottom and very slowly, more natural patterns have had more success than wilder colors. Happy FIshing
