Slow wknd at Grand and Granby
Post By: itchyreelfinger      Posted: 7/24/2012 10:09:46 AM     Points: 906
Fished Grand Sat and Sun morning and Granby Sat. afternoon. Slow bite. A major storm front moved through Friday night so I blame that. Managed two nice eaters and one small one all on the go-to jig/sucker meat in about 80FOW. Met up with Jaytheangler and his buddy Mike and had a good time. I hope you guys enjoyed the morning on the boat. I missed 4 bites because (yes, here is my excuse) I dislocated my shoulder on Thursday and couldn't set the hook with my left arm. Which leads to a mildly interesting topic.

I am completely right handed--write, throw, eat, everything except fish. I set the hook with my left hand. Is that normal? Just curious.

Going back to Grand this weekend if anyone is going to be there. Might head over to Wolford for the gathering if I can.

Pic is of a friend. His first Mackinaw.

I think fishing with the wrong hand is a problem. You should get that checked out man. Maybe its from too much lite beer. Anyways u come up wolford way and i will show you how to fish properly. No for real though hope to see you up there , it will be fun.

Ldog you are a REAL comedian! haha Hopefully the shoulder will be in serviceable condition and I will show you what a boat full of fish looks like. If not, I can still blame the shoulder....I can milk that for a while I figure. haha

Good colors on that fish. You can sure tell the difference between Grand and Granby macs. Totally different diet.

Team--NOW I remember! Sorry. Thats up in the air right now. Grandpa had a heart attack about 3 weeks ago. Should be OK but still recovering. Probably have to stay pretty close to home for the rest of the summer. Appreciate you remembering though!
