Took my 10 year old niece on her first fishing trip yesterday. I thought St Vrain would be a great place for a first timer. She caught 12 blue gill in a 3 hour span. She didn't want to leave and asked when we can come back. Geat time!!

Glad to hear that! St Vrain is typically a great place to catch a variety of fish. Are you able to post a conditions report? Water clarity, which pond, etc....

Fish the ponds when the temps start cooling down and she could have the same action with the trout.
