Hey Bud,

Fly fishing or whatever, what don't you understand about the voluntary closure of Bear Creek? Give 'em a break. Move over to Clear Creek.

Hey Irish chill out bro, it was obviously an oversight and either way he will find out when he gets there and will have to take the appropriate actions. You act like its an insult to you personally. For fisherman there are a few people on here that are too wound up!

FishingFiend...
Maybe Irish could have worded it a bit differently, but he certainly got his point across. Most of the people on this site that take things VERY seriously...usually because they care about their resources. No need to call someone out because you don't agree with the way they post their responses, or because you think they are too "wound up!". Good Fishing!

Hey guys im pretty sure they opened it up again... geez. they toke all the signs down and the water levels are doing fine. I saw on the way up to Evergreen that all the signs where taken down. He probably didnt even know anyways.

^^^ no they didn't. 98% of the signs were still up yesterday 8-23-12. there's a couple spots were it looks like people decided to rip the signs off themselves, you could tell because of the pieces of black tape that was still at the botton of some of the signs.
i saw quite a few people fishing bear creek yesterday in different spots and made it known to some of them that it was under a voluntary closure needless to say they didn't care. here's a pic of the signs that are posted throughout bear creek.

i will say the that upper bear creek (which is open to fish) the part that feeds into evergreen lake has been high in water levels and has been flowing fast over the last few weeks I fished it yesterday before heading down the canyon, kind of curious why it hasn't contributed to lower bear creak getting better
