WATER LOW FISH STILL BITING

Fished Crawford in my pontoon for 3 hours early Saturday morning, caught 36 fish. Water was low and dropping , only one boat ramp is being used. Water temp is 71 degrees. I fished the north end of the lake using black crappie jigs teamed with a bare hook 15-18 inches above them , everything tipped with a piece of night crawler. slowly drift on the bottom in 6-15 feet of water. Caught 13 crappie (8-10") 17 perch (all under 7" but one) 3 pike (all hammer handles) & 3 catfish (13-14 inches), Kept enough crappie for dinner. There were a lot of carp working the surface. there were a few other fisherman and no skiers or motor boats until around 10:00 AM. When you find fish work that area and be patient. Mornings are great to be out before the storms hit.
