Lake: Cherry Creek Reservoir
I went to Cherry creek today and all I caught was a 20' Master craft

No he did not run over my trolling lines. I was about to leave with the weather coming in when I saw a boat with what I thought was 2 guys in paddling along and not making much headway, by the marina. I went over to see if they needed help and there was 2 guys 3 girls and 2 babies on board. Motor died and so did the battery. I asked where they needed to go and it was the east side (same as me) I told them i would tow them back to the ramp. Now mind you all I have is a canoe with a 36lb trolling motor, I tied up to them and off we went. Well for sure it was a slow boat to China. We got to the dock just as the heavens opened up.

I'm not trying to pat myself on the back, just trying to let everybody know that you don't need a big boat to help somebody out. next time you see someone in need, the fishing can wait.....I'm glad I was there to help. They really appreciated it.

Hey Bassackwards, you are a great man for what you did(PARENT WITH BABIES AND THOSE FOLK SHOULD BE THANKFUL), and the good man above will reward you for your actions. I pulled a guy with dead motor, and my boat has a mere 25 hspwr engine, and he had a bigger boat as well with an inboard 3ltr v-6, he was very happy that day because we were in the middle of the lake and no wind.... the second incident was a sail-club member that fell off the sail boat with no pfd-and we saw him go in on a bad wind storm, his bud was jibbing the jib, I don't know sail talk, and we scooped him up and got him back to the sail boat. I feel that I would be payed 10 fold for my actions, and I was with some great fishing days, but more important, my kids saw what we need to do for our fellow boaters-even the ding dongs that shake and wake us or cross our lines-that's fishing-boating....

YOU DID A GREAT DEED!!!

TIGHTLINES.....

Yeah Darius, and Charlie. I knew that you are supposed to help whenever possible. I took my Captains license when I was in the Marines, and that was one of the things that we went over. I have towed two boats this year so far. I just hope if theres ever a time I'm in need, I get the same response.

If only someone could have snapped a picture of a canoe towing a mastercraft. That would have been a keeper for sure! Good work helping out, those little folding emergency paddles really are just for show, I know from unfortunate experience!

Thanks everyone. Like I said not trying to pat myself on the back, just paying it forward.

I do wish I had a pic though. That would be an instant classic.
