Eleven mile still producing on the troll

Weed growth mandates frequent weed checks when trolling, but trolling is productive. We boated 22 trout and one pike between 0700 and 1030 trolling spoons about 10 ft deep in 22-35 feet of water on the west side. Most of the trout were 1-2 lbs, 13-16 inches. We kept a few for dinner and threw the rest back.

Are there areas (east, etc.) with good catch rates but less weeds? The last couple of summers, July has become increasingly difficult to catch fish without constant removal of the weeds from the divers and lures. Do you troll with dipsey divers, jet divers, or something else?
