hit blue mesa today, got there on time. well 45 min late, or an hour but got there. lake was glass. water temp, 68- 69...... warm enough to swim jig. but setup in 90fow i like deep water jigging. running the spot lock and got into two nice 7 or so pders. one inhaled my jig... i also got a nice lil ol brownie on the jig as well. day count 9 total with a few misses, dad got 4. slower day for him. nice getting to fish with the spot lock... man makes the day for a jigger like myself. the lowrance helped too. got to tell my dad here he comes, bam. like xbox. and im pretty good at xbox. lol. sunburnt and wanting to go back. proabably sunday. rematch. saw a REAL nice lunker at the end of the day but was leaving and just let it be until next time. water vis deep side was 10 or so feet, by elk boat ramp iirc algae or mossy stuff. floating around everywere. i definitely liked the deeper water fishing myself.
