River: Arkansas River Lower
Browns Canyon

A buddy and are going to be fishing Browns Canyon next week. Neither of us have ever been there, so any help regarding fishing and access points would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I like the Hecla junction campground and river access. You have to pay a few bucks for a pass, but I have had good luck in that section. There is a lot of variety on that section of river in either direction. Follow the tracks downstream for some decent holes.

I've only fished it in the fall with lower water levels though.

I would try big horn sheep canyon if there aren't to many ppl mining in the river. Also watch out for rattlers.
