The boatramp area is best from what i have heard. I tryed to fish the n e corner n there was to many weeds. With this heat u might wanna try later in the day or sunup.

I fished there a couple weeks ago in the evening and caught the big ole skunk... Fished the NW corner and next to the boat launch used everything from worms to mussels. Nobody around me caught any that day.

Any more updates on shore fishing? Is it even worth it?

O accidentally replied to the post where everyone is having their moral battles at the moment.

We went out to barr maybe 3 or 4 days ago. While it was lower then it usually is around this time it still wasnt just right. We wanted to check it out because we heard it was going so low this year.

Wait till about the first week of August is over, that's the best time up until beginning of the first frost.

We did catch a decent lmb but hardly worth a hard days work

See ya out there

I was out there on Sat night and it was terrible...

I was near the Train Tracks and literally walked out about 30 yards into the lake and was only knee deep.

Saw a few people fishing, but not catching :-P I wont be wasting my time with this lake anytime soon.

I cannot believe that walleye - what a nice fish.

FishingFreak and I fished Barr on Sat morning along with few hundreds of other people that lined every inch of the bank on both sides of the boat ramp for several hundred yards in both diretions.

FF had two good hookups but couldn't bring 'em in. I caught one large CARP... talked to another guy at the boat launch when we were pulling out and he showed us a sizable wiper he got. Couple of the shore guys had some trout on their stringers, but most had nothing.
