A lot of action on top but not a lot of bites. Deweese is low right now and i wouldnt reccomend fishing there in westcliffe. Better fishing in the high mountain lakes or the swift creek. Going out tonight to fly fish swift creek and might go to the arkansas tomorrow. any good locations to fish the arkansas neer westcliffe would be great. We are fly fishing and spinner fishing. Any help or information about the arkansas would be great.
Thanks

I dont agree with there being a big problem fishign DeWeese. I went there 2 weeks ago, and got into a good number of fish. As usual for this time of the summer the weeds are choking out the South East corner of the lake. Once we got outside the green stuff it was just a matter of finding the depth the fish were holding at. A shore fisherman might need to head up towards the dam to avoid the weeds.
